I am the new owner of a 64 econo with 170 with a 3 speed. I am looking to up grade the rear end to get more high way speed. You guys seem to have the most experince with these van. Do you have any suggestions as to what rear end is the best fit with more gear selections. It dose not really need to be a nine inch I not looking to go fast just up to speed so I don't have to take back roads every were I go.

A Ford 9" with 3:30 or 3:00 gears will help reach the freeway speeds.

What I am looking for is a good donner vehical to pull it from. Something with similar width or even a little bit narower

The Econo 9 " is narrower than what you would find on any F100 or F150 so be careful. I may know of one for sale in San Bernardino if you live close by. It has been narrowed but I don't know how much or what size the gears are.

getting the dash and front doors done. Should be done tomorrow. Here's some pics of what has been done so far. The glove box door will be done in blue and the ash tray, steering column bracket, instrument panel and door panels are all chrome. Eventually there will be a kick panel from the bottom of the dash to the front floorboard and a console from the dog house to the dash with blue airplane toggle switches and some new gauges.

This is the one I was telling you about that I want to do the Route 66 mural on. I have seen examples of your work and I think you could really make the mural stand out.

Mike send me pics of what you want and ill work em into a wrap theme.......ill put some ghost images of some of these attractions in the back ground with detailed van pics over laying the differnt places you mentioned........just send the pics...or maybe the whole club can find differnt things ...ill put it all together for ya...........got some ideas all ready

Today I put all new interior door handles in the van as well as two new window cranks./. Got the new rubber door seals from Macs and got the one on the drivers door before it started raining. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get the other door done and install the new stainless steel heater hose. I have the new four core aluminum radiator and a chrome fan shroud ready to install along with chrome radiator hoses. Just waiting on the Zirgo chrome electric fan to arrive and then I will install them. The van should run pretty cool with that set up.
